The guys opinion is just as valid as everyone elses because everyone understands a fear of getting shot. I consider it unhealthy myself. I have no military service, I consider my viewpoint valuable on this topic. However, the problem is this. She made a committment as an adult. She changed her mind when she was supposed to honor that obligation. Everyone understands how joining the armed services works. My brother signed up for training in the Air Force and did 3 years in VN. That is the way it works. Going overseas sucks, but that was the deal.
