cpoxon 0 #6 November 20, 2003 Over five years ago, I made this clock. It still hangs on my wall. The page referenced in that article is no longer available but it is via web.archive.org, well, some of it, but not the important bit, the Corel Draw file! I think François is still available at the address listed in the newsgroup article so you could try emailing him and let us know how you get on? I doubt I have the file anywhere :-( Edit: Google groups referenceSkydiving Fatalities - Cease not to learn 'til thou cease to live

pilotdave 0 #8 November 20, 2003 This one'll need a little editing for you, but I have it as a gigantic layered photoshop file so the text could be changed in a minute. Lemme know if you're interested. I made it for a cafepress clock to buy: http://www.cafeshops.com/umdskydiving.3804037 Dave
velo90 0 #9 November 20, 2003 I tried to email Francios a few years agao and got no reply. The mail did not bounce though. I have mail him again, who knows, maybe this time I do get a reply. I would try and draw the image myself but I am crap at using graphics programs. Maybe some one on this forum is could create such an image an post it? At least after your post they have a link as to how it should look. Yeah, I am a cheap skate, but what the hell, I want to spend my money on jump tickets! fudd 0 #10 November 20, 2003 Get an alti and scan it. Should be possible, but it will probably be neccesary to take off the needles Maybe get an old one. pilotdave 0 #14 November 20, 2003 Each number and tick mark around the dial is a separate layer, so each could be edited independently. In other words, I can make it meters if you want. How many tick marks does a metric altimeter have? If it's the same, it would only take a few minutes to change. If it's different, well, changing all those tick marks is a pain but it can be done. Dave
velo90 0 #15 November 20, 2003 A metric alti generally goes from 0 to 4,000 m. This means you have 1 at quarter past 2 at half past and 3 at quater to. The tick marks at at 100m intervals except between 0 and 0.5, where they are at 50m intervals. Also between the 1, 2 3... aw foget it ... here is an image of one...
