kawisixer01 0 #5 April 16, 2011 I dunno I have a GFX and haven't had a problem with it. Some of the info I see in the reviews is wrong. You CAN set your own starting point (jump number) for the logger. It DOES have adjustable volume. Navigating the screens was a bit of a bitch at first, but was fine once I used it a couple of times and got used to what key strokes were needed. I'm not sure why none of the companies are using a micro SD card on their loggers but it sure would be nice.

RafaelYP 0 #7 April 18, 2011 I have used one for 5 years and 350 jumps and have had no problems. Perhaps I was lucky.
JeffBarlow 10 #8 April 18, 2011 That's interesting Skytronic FX and Skytronic GFX are completely different devices. Why would you read reviews on something completely different and then make your decision? Would you read reviews about original Sabre to decide whether you'd be happy with Sabre 2? Maybe maybe not...I'm not saying categorically it's junk, just that I've seen other units hold up better, and from what I've heard LB has a better customer service program. I could be wrong but I've seen a few GFX's cussed and sold pretty cheap to personally replace what I've been using for years with no problems. ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~
brwonder 0 #10 April 18, 2011 I got a GFX a few years ago and I am not impressed with it. I had to get it fix twice and still giving me incorrect readings. It seams to work fine for certain disciplines but not for wing suiting. I've tried to have it on my wrist, helmet, inside pocket, outside pocket... it just doesn't seam to work right. I've sent it to the manufacturer and it came back with the same issues. They claimed to be in order. My friend bought one right after me and the alarm doesn't work anymore. I also have two Pro-Ditters and a Solo. And they work great. I am very impressed with L&B customer service. Had to deal with them a few times and every time top notch service. I've been hard in some of my gear. I advise you to when choosing it do some research on the manufactures customer service. I also heard great things about the Neptunes. dragon2 2 #11 April 18, 2011 Plenty of posts in this forum about the GFX, including some of mine. Personally I would not buy one based on the product quality of the GFXs I've seen, alone. Also Parasport's customer service is non-existant. ciel bleu, Saskia
