quade 4 #4 November 17, 2003 Well, she's hotter than Hillary, I'll give you that, but she's also a walking skeleton. I'm not saying that I don't like thin women -- on the contrary, but she's -way- too thin. quade 4 #7 November 17, 2003 Schwarzenegger just finished speaking. Nice for an inaugural address, saying what he is planning on doing, but not all that inspiring. Too many weight lifting analogies for my taste (seriously). Still it'll be interesting to see if he can pull off all of what he has said. The other thing that strikes me a bit in watching this is the National rather than State tone. For instance, rather than the kids just now singing something about California, they're singing about "God Bless America" which, to my way of thinking is somewhat misplaced. Dang, I hope someone hasn't forgotten Article 2 Section 1 of the US Constitution. Oh, finally, they're playing "California Here I Come" to end the ceremony.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

turtlespeed 220 #10 November 17, 2003 How does one put in a sentance the two words - "Hot" and "Hillary Clinton"? Thats like saying "Monkey Goat". It just makes no sense nor can it even be interpreted.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

taln1rigr 0 #12 November 17, 2003 The New California Governor has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the state, rather than German which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, The Terminator's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that would become known as "Austro-English" (or, if nobody will be offended, "Austrionics").. In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favor of the "k". This should klear up konfusion. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with the "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter. In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away. By the 4th yer peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. lawrocket 3 #18 November 17, 2003 An amazing thing is to underestimate others. From much of the talking-heads, we hear low expectations of Arnold. To his critics who make those low expectations, they set him up to look loftier. One thing I like abotu him is his commitment to change the workers' compensation system. The system in CA is an absolute travesty, and is much responsible for the stream of business leaving California. For my sake, and California's, I wish him well. I also think that he's the one who can bring about a change int the legislature, which is far more necessary than changing the governor. My wife is hotter than your wife. Nightingale 0 #22 November 17, 2003 I was impressed by his speech. It was very well written. I will be even more impressed should he actually follow through on what he said. (this is not an anti-Arnold comment, but rather an observation on how difficult it is to get ANYTHING done in politics today). I didn't vote for him, but I hope he is successful.
