AnnieB 0 #106 November 12, 2003 Most of all I fear losing my son. I used to fear going blind (note, I have very poor eyesight without corrective lenses). Then I had an anterior disk fusion at the C5/C6 level in my neck and had to face the possibility, before agreeing to the surgery, that I could be a quadriplegic after surgery. Then blind didn't sound so bad...not being able to use my arms would be much more difficult to live with.
