kelel01 1 #1 November 13, 2003 Ok, I know this is lame, but my friend and I are going to NYC for the first time about a week and a half from now, and we only have time and money for one show. Anybody seen any of these that can give a review, or have you heard anything about any of them? Any input is appreciated. Thanks! Kelly

kelel01 1 #3 November 13, 2003 Oh, that's an awesome call! But I bet you have to try to get tickets like months in advance. I'm going to check. Kelly
Nightingale 0 #4 November 13, 2003 I've heard wonderful things about Rent, but I'd also suggest you see Cats if you get the chance.
flyhi 24 #5 November 13, 2003 I would have to go with the RCMH show. You know it will never go on the road. To see it, you have to be there. Saw Rent twice. Very good. I'm sure you know Rent is the late Jonathan Larson's version of Puccini's La Boheme. So it would be like seeing an opera and a play at the same time. Might be a little dated now. Whoever plays Angel makes or breaks the show. I know nothing about this guy. Have you thought about seeing Stomp or Blue Man Group? They're pretty good, too.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
CapWeathersby 0 #6 November 13, 2003 Rent is awesome. I would pay to see it again.. You shouldn't have a hard time getting tickets since it's been out for a while, and it's an off broadway show. Have fun!! ________________________________ "Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value."
BikerBabe 0 #7 November 13, 2003 No no no! Blue Man Group! Blue Man Group! Seriously, I saw them in NYC, and it was incredible.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!
ranchhand28 0 #8 November 13, 2003 De La Guarda beats any of them... It's pure magic! I won't say no more, you have to experiment (yes, it is very interactive) to know it.
sweetgirl 0 #9 November 13, 2003 You MUST see Rent! It's incredible. Fiddler on the Roof and Hairspray are also excellent. I think "Taboo," f. Boy George opens today to very good reviews! You will have so much fun! Enjoy your trip and see and do as much as you can! Y.O.L.O
mcneill79 0 #10 November 13, 2003 Rent is definitely my choice. I've seen it twice and own the CD I would also recommend Blue Man Group. It is definitely a fun time, but you can see it in other cities.
