Shotgun 1 #1 November 11, 2003 I was inside working on some photography stuff and heard a loud noise outside - so I went outside and got to see some cool planes flying over.
jumper03 0 #2 November 11, 2003 look like hell cats to me, but my recog skills are woefully rusty. Where you at? JumpScars remind us that the past is real
Shotgun 1 #3 November 11, 2003 In Murrieta, CA (near Perris)... I'm no good at recognizing different kinds of planes though. Here's one more pic that was too big to upload (far away): http://crayfish.nu/keely/Images/misc/planes002.jpg
pilotdave 0 #4 November 11, 2003 T-34s would be my guess. Dave

dgskydive 0 #6 November 11, 2003 We saw them over here to Keely. I think there is something going on at the National cemetary. Kinda cool!Dom
Shotgun 1 #7 November 11, 2003 Quote I think there is something going on at the National cemetary. Ah, that would make sense. They were cool to see, but they didn't stick around here too long!
FeMike 0 #8 November 11, 2003 Keely, Those remind me of the Nam when I was droppin napalm on Charlie, Oh yeah, I might not be moving to TX, perhaps Lake Havasu instead. Mike
VectorBoy 0 #9 November 13, 2003 T-34s from the Aeroclub ( is there still one?) at march. They flew above my place too and I'm way far murrieta, no riverside.
Lee03 0 #10 November 13, 2003 They look like T-34A or B models. Eyes are too blurry right now, too sleepy to get a real good look right now.. I'll check again tomorrow when I'm more awake. I fly a T-34B sometime. They are not F6F Hellcats for sure. Hellcat has a radial (round) engine and three blade props, these planes clearly have inline engines and two blade props. Also Hellcat has broader wing, had the largest wing area of all U.S. fighters in World War II. Hellcat's wing was mid-mounted on the fusalege, these are low mounted.-------- To put your life in danger from time to time ... breeds a saneness in dealing with day-to-day trivialities. --Nevil Shute, Slide Rule
