The worst way to go????

I'd say burning. starvation sucks for the first few days, but then the body gets used to it and gets out of pain mode.

Burning, on the other hand, is the worst. Havign worked in medicine, I've had the chance to see it. It's horrible. A burn victim literally loses all the fluids and electrolytes because the skin is gone and cannot regulate it. They also sweel up like pumpkins, get all kinds of nasty infections, etc.

It's just a rotten way to go.

I dunno about the body getting used to starvation, I mean the effects on the brain, and it is a slow horrible way to die, I dunno about you, but seeing lil kids on TV that are dieing on malnurishment and diesese is heartbreaking to me. Hence, I think thats gotta be the worst.

Well, disease is a doozy, too. Horrible? The way people died of AIDS in the early 80's was about as bad as you can get.

Disease would be a bad way. It's long and protracted.

A close family friend died a few years back of Cancer. I really do think that it may be one of the worst ways to die.. she slowly deteriorated, on oxygen, sickness, tired, then death months later.

Horrible, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. At least with death by stabbing, shooting, burning or drowning is relatively quick.

I would have to say being burnt as well. I can't even stand to close to the oven when it's on without freaking out. That would be soooo horrible! AHH!

I think there's a big difference between being burned, which is too horrible to contemplate, and being burned to death. Burns of that severity stop hurting once the nerves are cooked. I drowned when I was a kid, that was awful, I could see the surface of the pool but couldn't get there. I don't think even HP Lovecraft could describe the things going through my mind. Awful.

For me the worst way would to be surrounded in a sterile hospital surrounded by stangers. I'd choose any of the above over that.

Burning bigtime. I've seen too much of it and the terror and pain combined is more that I can realistically contemplate.

That's what I'm saying... this thread is about DYING, and I've seen several replies already saying burning would be the worst because of how hard it is to deal with the pain once the shock wears off. Um... you'd be dead.

Buried alive or Burning.

Being hit by a truck loaded with Port-a-Pottys.
It didnt happen, luckily, but I continued to think of the headline:
