Tonto 1 #26 October 31, 2003 I have no doubt that the process was followed. I also have no doubt that the outcome would have been different had the Supreme court been dominated by Democrats. Tonto 1 #28 October 31, 2003 No, mostly they are people who realise that saying things like "Bring it on!" is perhaps not the most prudent thing to do when the lives of others are on the line. I know of no teacher who willfully encourages misbehavior in their class, or a skydiving instructor who wishes his/her students a malfunction regardless of how well they have trained. Tonto 1 #31 October 31, 2003 It's a simple Poll. The dude is in. Do you want him in next time? Yes or No? I can't see how that will appeal more to one group than another. I'm happy with the way things have gone in the last few years. With the Dollar having weakened as much as it has - I can save 1000's on the cost of new gear, and as a foreigner - jumps in the US are getting cheaper by the day - and that's what really counts. tIt's the year of the Pig. rehmwa 2 #34 October 31, 2003 Heee heee Actually, it's human tendency to have an easier time voting against something than to pick from choices. I hear the following a lot "I don't like (whoever)" - but then what/who would you do as an alternate? - "I don't know, but not that guy/action/whatever". The seven (9, 10, 5?) dwarfs are still running against the current admin, not for something. I have a friend at work who's into practical applications of statistics. I'll ask him Monday if there is any historical data on polls of this type. Just to escalate - 1 - We have an electoral system, Gore tried to derail it, the supreme court upheld the decision. A majority 'nationwide' has never been determined. Look at the 'by county' map, it looks like the last california election. 2 - Every recount before and after the decision favored Bush 3 - For those expats who think they made the difference, that group was specifically targetted by the Dems to 'disenfranchise'. At best, Dems were guilty of shenanigans, at worst, both parties. ... True. Bush has a lot of positives, IMO, but he has a lot of negatives too, like lousy speaking abilities and too much testosterone . . . I really wish we'd have done better in the last election. However, I'll still vote for him in the next election because, like last time, there is no better choice. QuoteSpeaking of which, is your slider stuck up in your Avitar?
