ypelchat 0 #32 November 6, 2003 QuoteI travel 140 miles to get to my dz and even just one jump a trip is worth the drive. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to the closest DZ. About 10 miles. The other DZ is about an hour (60 miles). The longest distance traveled to go to a DZ, is 1600 miles (Lake Wales). Yves.
flygirl03 0 #33 November 6, 2003 2 hour 20 min drive. I ususally go on Sunday. This weekend Im going Saturday, spending the night and going to jump again on Sunday. If I fly it is only an hour to get there. Doesn't matter... it is worth the trip ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ earthbound misfit
WrongWay 0 #34 November 6, 2003 I'm not positive on the mileage, but I'm thinking along the lines of 100 miles or so. The next closest (decent) dz is about 330 miles from me. andy2 0 #35 November 6, 2003 Depends on which one I go to. Only been to a different DZ once but the option is there. My home DZ is about 1.5 hours away. There's one closer but I'd rather fly with my homies. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... Aviatrr 0 #40 November 6, 2003 The two I jump at most are 70 and 85 miles away. There is one that is 21 miles away, but I won't jump there. There are two others that I go to occasionally, that are 90 and 65 miles away. All are turbine DZ's. There are actually a couple more within 100 miles or so that I have never been to. cruzit 0 #43 November 6, 2003 Closest turbine DZ 315 miles. Which at one time I drove to every weekend. Put 100,000 miles on a 2 1/2 year old car that way. Closest Cessna DZ 45 miles, 80 miles, and 110 miles respectively.

turtlespeed 221 #48 November 6, 2003 Well, at the moment - a 1:45 hour flight and an hour and a half drive. But at the moment I am at another DZ and watching the clouds roll over. Usually, it's a 15 min drive from home, or a 10 min drive from the office.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
