That is, people saying "that's not legal" with absolutely zero knowledge of and sometimes I think not even caring about what the law actually is. Yeah, basically the way I understand it, if you're videotaping someone in private without their consent, that's a crime. If someone's doing something in a public setting, then they're fair game.
