bbarnhouse 0 #27 November 4, 2003 Quoteyes they finished them back in March? or april? Before Jeffro left for the summer and the grass was added last month. Actually they were completed over the summer, then grass was added. We had hoped to have it in use for the Red Bull competition last spring, but alas they weren't quite completed. It is however..B E A U tiful.Quoteyeah well, it was like this...wait until next weekend and do your 100th OR jump in high winds, oh and the Real BIG clincher, FOR FREE!!! So I thought to myself WWMD? (what would mcduck do?) LOL well I know that I wouldn't have jumped in those conditions...free or otherwise. There are too many beautiful days days here. I've always ascribed to the ideology that if the locals that have been jumping at a DZ for a long time aren't jumping, there is probably a really good reason for it. Just my .
Katzeye 0 #28 November 4, 2003 Do you mean "least" wind or "best" wind? As far as consistency, I would have to say San Diego and then maybe Elsnore as a second. LA* Is a chicken omelette redundant?
freeflygoddess 0 #29 November 4, 2003 Quotethe ideology that if the locals that have been jumping at a DZ for a long time aren't jumping, there is probably a really good reason for it. Just my .02 Yes I must say that after being knocked over and dragged for a couple of seconds and then chopping and having to hook it all back up, and hopefully it was done right I will never in my life jump in those wind conditions again, unless the plane is going down or there are threats of hijacking and such, aliens attacking, someone farted and the smell is just lingering...well you know what would out weigh it... So in conculsion children(those with less than 1000 jumps) what we have learned is that our parents(those with more than 1000 jumps) know best! So if they aren't jumping neither should we. Stacy 0 #30 November 4, 2003 Quote(I have no idea what the grass is like in Perris, Elsinore and Z-Hills as I have yet to jump at any of those places). Quote ZHills landing area is all grass (even bigger than the sebastian landing areas) with exception of Lake Mottski, our swoop pond. Within the last year that pond has tripled in width and gotten deep enough for some regular lap swimming. It's also fed from its own well and filtered so no gross stuff growing in it. __
 CanuckInUSA 0 #31 November 4, 2003 And the water doesn't smell like rotten eggs?
