Help me out here, what is the larger Aircraft in the background of that pic, just leaving the ground with the clear nose????

Turbo Let. Fairly commun in the UK. Between 16 and 18 jumpers per load, fairly large side door, fairly fast jumprun speed.

Oh yes, your one of the lucky ones that get to call the Shark Your Home Jumpship. Just like Mullins King Air, Every Skydiver needs to jump "The SharK" sometime in the sport. B|

yeah and two other otters, a skyvan and now a DC-9, oh and a wind tunnel

I've heard the rumours about the DC-9 for a while, but has it arrived yet? There are no pics or anything on the website...

Iwan

I don't have any of our 206, but here are 3 of our Twin Bonanza.

Blues,
Dave

B| Nice jumpships! I love Twin Bo's ;)

We still have our Twin Bo, but it's not used anymore, and is now for sale. Good memories. :)
Here's our new jumpship: A King Air A100

This picture was taken when the plane was delivered in february 2003.

Older school...

Our C-182 is THE original, a 1956 model. OK so maybe the Beech could be older but I betcha it's bigger and faster anyway ;)

The plane came from Quebec a few months before that picture was taken. For those reading the French script on the artwork, our local pronounciation was christened "Parachute-is-me"

Since purchase, XKU has been a typical jumpship. The first fall it was grounded at the final 100 hour for top end engine work. The next season it had electrical issues and an engine fire during a cold weather start (flooded the air intake). The pilot tells me that 'most of the instruments work most of the time' (shhhh...) and on any given day the door decides to latch either on low or high altitude passes but almost never on both :o.

Trade her for a newer more reliable model? Never. I might want to FLY and land a reliable plane :o:PB|B|

Dave

PS: Those 3 layer racing overalls are really bulky and I wore them in part because they were warm (it was cold that October) and because they were warm. I was also a fashion victim at the time. Imagine! ..an orange helmet with a Red jumpsuit - what was I thinking? I've since mended my ways B|

:o Geez Dave! Your C-182 flew before I was even born! No wonder why you board it wearing a parachute ! :D

;)

Yves.

thought you might like it. was the most up to date pic I could find.
I spent 7 hours in that plane for the world record (something like 150 takeoff's and landings).
Did my first jump out of it.
Was on the last load (of paying jumprs anyway).

I made plenty of jumps outta that plane back in '98.

Here's the pic I have on my desk top.

man its hard to see pics like that. I shot about 400 video's from that plane and must have 100 puls video jumps with that same image in the back ground. With out the wide angle u can see the pilots face.... such a cool place to be. Tandems usually didn't even know the plane was there. In the old days the pilots would stay with you for a large part of the jump. In the last few years it's just 10 sec's or so.
Gunna miss that bird

Whats up?? Is your DZ leasing or buying an otter?

Leasing, as far as I know. At least for now.
