peek 21 #1 October 3, 2003 Commonly misused words in dropzone.com forums and rec.skydiving. I've been meaning to do this for a long time, and finally did. I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine. I created a page where I can point skydivers to when they make ridiculous mistakes misusing and misspelling words, especially those related to their skydiving posts. Many of these I have seen. Feel free to point people there if they deserve it! And let me know if you find others. http://www.freefall.com/peek/misused.html

Guest #14 October 3, 2003 QuoteError on yours, dude. the second "its" needs to be "it's" Lawrocket is correct. You are missing a squiggle there - possessive ("its") as opposed to the declarative contraction of "it is"... mistake: error misteak: no such word Misteak - when I drop my top sirloin cut after pulling it off the grill... mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." Luna 0 #15 October 3, 2003 You also have an error on the def. for "stair" where you put "yoy" it should be "you". I'll go with Andrea on the "your" and "you're", but my biggest peeve is the now pervasive use of "could of," "should of" or "would of" instead of the proper "could've," "should've," "would've" OR "could have," "should have," "would have."
