I also have it incase of an emergancy. I do follow this rule, because I bought the smallest cheapest plan I could, so I can't chit-chat on it all day or I will pay too much. I spend less on my phone now than I did when I had a landline. Free nationwide long distance, free airtime if I'm talking to anyone who has the same provider, free airtime on nights and weekends... I can't seem to keep a decent charge. I also really dislike talking on it while trying to drive. I almost never make a call while driving. If for some reason I get a call while driving or have to make one I do it as fast as possible. There is nothing worse then getting behind someone in the fast lane whos rambling on their phone not paying attention to what's going on around them. They do tend to slow way down. Which in turn congests the freeway, which can cause accidents.. etc.. etc... I'm all for banning the use of cell phones when behind the wheel period.. No headset, no hands free.. banning the use period! So I guess I have one and use it regularly just not when driving.
