Question about reserve links.

Hi,

I am wondering if the links for a reserve belong to the canopy or the harness?

We are swapping reserves and the system was purchased complete from Aerodyne. It has reserve soft links.

In my opinion links belongs to canopy. So move soft links with smart reserve ,...

i agree,they belong to the reserve. if you order a new canopy for example from PD you are given the choice f you want french links or soft links.same as any other manufacturer

When you buy a new canopy, it will come with links. When you buy a new container, it will not come with links. That should be clear enough.

The links stay with the parachute... main or reserve.

Parachute Industry Standard 102 says that canopy manufacturers are responsible for supplying the canopy, suspension lines, slider, connector links, connector link covers and manual.
If the canopy is round, it will probably also have a diaper sewn on.

Everything else (pilot chute, bridle, deployment bag, risers, toggles, etc.) is supplied by the container manufacturer.
