flyangel2 2 #26 October 20, 2003 Sending vibes so that the weather gets nicer. JeffD 0 #27 October 20, 2003 so how many loads/day? I heard someone on the phone at zhills yesterday say they were at ~90 at 4pm.
quade 4 #28 October 20, 2003 Yesterday, according to an announcement they made at the end of the day, they did a total (competion, practice and fun jumps) of 155 loads, 2721 total jumps. 9:20 am and the weather hasn't changed. We're still on the ground.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
sunnydee123 0 #29 October 20, 2003 Lucky for you the weather took a lovely turn for the better and the sky Gods once again shined brightly on Lake Wales and the competition.... Me and a group from Sebastian raised enough cash to get our Caravan to fly us over cause we were socked in with weather at Sebastian. It was cool as hell!!! Made 2 jumps there then flew home for a sunset hop and pop in a light rain....it was a GREAT day! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time... Dragontail 0 #30 October 20, 2003 The Raeford crew arrived at DeLand Saturday night. We made a few jumps yesterday and we're leaving for Lake Wales today. The temperature at night has been very nice.... which is good for me because I'm tenting it this trip. The beer was flowing last night with it being my first time jumping in DeLand and all (there were a few beer line violations too so we did not go thirsty). Send vibes to the Raeford Dragons and hope for a nice breeze at nationals (my knee brace is broked). Come by and see us, ya hear? Well, this is quite a contrast to the weather we had previously. Teams were supposed to show up this morning at 7 am for a 15 minute call, but we've been on the ground so far with only the S & A folks making minimum altitude jumpruns. We have been expecting this all along, but were suckered in by the relatively good weather of the last few days. Oh well, we all have books and iPods and other stuff to keep our minds occupied until this burns off . . . or totally down pours . . . whichever comes first. 85 degrees and sunny in Chicago....
