What a weekend. Totally awesome FF jumps, but i suppose the highlight of the weekend was the FF jump i did with Rook. I'm so lucky to have SDC as my home.

I really hope PD can get my canopy fixed for me soon...maybe I should send Kolla some jump tickets and chocolate and see if I can get a loaner.B|

Good luck with that, even Demo's are running around 5 weeks.:S

Again, i'm convinced that first number won't change. :SGot a few loads in early on Saturday but i loaned my rig to one of our camera flyers so he could do back to back to backs. Did one coaching jump with a visitor from moss pt. and helped him get a bunch of his A prof. card filled out. Did a h&p from 2k when the clouds rolled in. Spent the rest of the day working on my tandem prof. card for my class next week. Had a good time at the bar on Sat night.B|

3 (Days until I'll be on a big plane going home and then I can start putting a real number here!)

Girl, you're so short you could sit on a dime and your feet wouldn't touch the ground! You're so short you could walk under a snake's belly! You're so short... okay, I'll shut up.

Hope the next 72 hours go by incredibly fast for you. Give Chuckie a hug for me when you get there (that is if you can remember to.... I'm sure you'll be too busy doing other things to remember though...)

I have not jumped in 16 days. I think it's the most time away from the DZ for me in over 4 years. I was in Minnesota all weekend for a wedding. I am really starting to like that place more and more. I really find it funny though how they keep calling my San Francisco 49ers gay and their the ones who have the team that dresses in purpleB|

And I have been humping quite frequently:)

2:
1) Saw my first cutaway actually as it happened (not me) - cool - but then we took almost an hour to find the canopy which landed over 5 miles away.
2) Hilarious moment as one of the instructors was closing the door on the back of the otter just as we were starting to taxi to the runway - his hands slipped from the door, landed his hips/legs on the inside of the plane and torso on the outside, feet shot up in the air as he flipped on his way out the door...and then he was gone - then he jumped back up and into the plane with some few choice words...

We checked him out and he was OK, so we gave him shit all of the way to altitude ("Hey, they actually let you teach?,"...."Did someone hear someone say 'mommy' when those legs flopped up?", etc...).

6 Jumps - 2 at Hollister on Friday and 4 at Monterey on Saturday.

0 Beers

This weekend was awesome! Then again all my weekends are awesome lately...

Friday: 2 freefly jumps with Jeffro at Eloy
Saturday: Night jump 2 way belly at Coolidge
Sunday: 2 freefly jumps with some friends and one passenger ride for Josh(SeaMonkey) for his tandem rating in Coolidge

I had so much fun. Sunday we even had the Twin Otter at Coolidge for four loads... it was awesome!

Saturday - rained out.
Sunday - Helped run manifest

0 jumps. :|

Edit: But I had a blast learning the manifest functions. It gives you an entirely new level of respect for your manifest folks when you help them out for more than a few minutes. ;)

Did a bunch of sitfly jumps with ChopChop and 1 HUGE Birdman Rodeo on Tallguy. Exiting a King Air on the back of a 6'9" (maybe taller) man in a birdman suit is not easy.

Yeah a King Air exit is not exactly the largest in the world. In fact it would be nice to get hold of the photo from Packer Jason's camera of us by the mockup. That jump was a lot of fun even if they did make us buy beer for it.

2690 Miles in 3 days:2: 1 to the Hollister peeps for a warm welcome and my FIRST King Air Jump.I woulda paid up while there but I needed to get on the road north..

Ok the dog is rescued.... drove a friend from Seattle to LA to pick up the dog her ex snatched ( he died last week) I did this with the caveat that she would buy the fuel... and I got to jump in the sunshine of CA. 24 hourts from Seattle to LA in my camper with 5 hours of sleep somewhere in Southern Oregon on a logging road after leaving Seattle at 10 PM Friday. Picked up the dog at 10 pm Sat.. and since no one I knew was going to be at Elsinore or Perris to jump with we headed back north. Made 2 jumps out of the Hollister King Air.. and saw some new friends met at the Byron Boogie.

One dislocated ring finger.... still do not know how I managed that. I grounded myself since pulling a reserve pillow would have been iffy. We stopped by Byron.. saw some more friends.. then off to find Lodi... no one I knew was still there on Sun night... after sunset... oh well .. perhaps another trip.

We took the scenic route home thru Lake Tahoe... Reno... and up US 97 in an attempt to avoid the coastal weather for just a bit longer. Arrived home this morning at 1:30 AM... too much driving.. but a fun trip..

Jeanne
