freefallin14 0 #1 October 9, 2003 Just wanted to say I saw the IMAX movie Adrenaline: The Science of Risk at Six Flags Great America last weekend and it was just amazing. Definitley worth seeing if you are at Six Flags anytime soon. Lots of freeflying (Alchemy) and base jumping in Norway and it just is awesome to see in IMAX. The sound and visuals are really somthing different to experience on a screen that huge. Birdman stuff too. Anyone know if this will ever be available in regular format? Marz 0 #3 October 9, 2003 Yeah, it's definetely a kick-ass movie, except for all the scientifs babble they through in there to appease the sponsors. Loved the Leonardo parachute bit! Those base jumpers are mostly from Quebec. They're mad and some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The production team is Canadian too. I'm not sure if they're planning on releasing it on video. I just don't think that video would quite do justice to that last BASE scene. I went to see it with other skydivers and all of us sorta instictevely started arching in our seats!!! Cheers Marz _________________________________________ Did I just kill another thread?
ChasingBlueSky 0 #4 October 9, 2003 Saw it a couple weeks ago - great flick. Nice to see Dave Brown, Rook, and Mike Swanson in IMAX glory over Florida! (Dave does some serious geeking!). Forgot it was showing there - was in line for the Raging Bull when I hear my name called out and another skydiver was there and told me about it (yea, it was a rainy day). As said, that final scene just wouldn't work as well on the small screen. Still, I would buy it on DVD! Edit to add: I'm surprised CrazyIvan hasn't posted the links to the past threads on this movie._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... The movie ran for 7 months at the Quebec city theater. Carl Samson, the producer of the movie, was there for the occasion, along with 4 of the many skydivers that participated in the filming of the movie. I managed to speak with Carl a few minutes, and asked him a few questions about how the movie was doing, worldwide. He said that the movie has been a huge success so far, everywhere it's been presented. Carl also told us, that the movie will be featured in at least 35 more IMAX theater through out the United States in 2004. The DVD version of the movie is expected to hit the stores 12/2003 . So be patient! It's coming! In the meantime, if you want to know more about the movie, feel free to visit their website: http://www.shemovie.com btw: Don't wait for the DVD to be released. The IMAX version is just amazing. Yves.

It played in San Jose, I don't remember the name of the theater though, it was some kind of museum? It'll come back somewhere in another IMAX theater.
