piisfish 140 #1 July 10, 2011 Does anybody know if there is a limited service life for a Precision RAven 3 reserve ? I know it is not the most modern canopy ,but it is in a good shape, few repacks, and for a 3rd "just in case" rigscissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
stratostar 5 #2 July 10, 2011 I'm not aware of any,.... unless something changed in the last few years.... no there is no "lifetime" on that product. councilman24 37 #3 July 10, 2011 No service life published. I think I still have three or four in my rigs. Just don't flare it like a pd reserve or a nine cell main. Flare like a, a, a, RAVEN! It helps if you had a raven main back in the 80's. I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
riggerrob 643 #4 July 11, 2011 As long as your Raven has less than 20 jumps and is loaded less than one pound per square foot - and your rigger is satisfied that it is still airworthy - then it is probably still airworthy. I have never seen a published life limit for any Precision canopy.
