vt1977 0 #7 August 20, 2003 I have voted for Langar and Netheravon. I mainly jump at Netheravon and actually very rarely make it up to Langar but I would certainly jump at Langar much more often if I lived closer. Vicki
skreamer 1 #8 August 20, 2003 Exit altitude at Hibaldstow is minimum of '14 500, the planes are fast, the bar is a laugh. Haven't been to Nethers, but all my friends who jump there speak highly of it.
QuickDraw 0 #9 August 20, 2003 Quote Haven't been to Nethers, but all my friends who jump there speak highly of it. Just don't walk into the bar with your rig on. -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning
SkymonkeyONE 4 #10 August 21, 2003 I have been to Weston on the Green and Netheravon. I had a fucking blast at Nethers. They treated me great there. It did not hurt that I only paid eight pounds per lift (active duty military at the time, on vacation over there). I was not surprised that I ran into several old friends there who had jumped at Raeford. Chuck
Spike 0 #11 August 21, 2003 Nethers gets my vote. Heard good things about Weston, but never been there myself. Did my fjc at Langar and had a great time, but that was years ago. Ok, will this swing it? Call in at Nethers and there'll be a beer waiting

mickb 0 #13 August 21, 2003 Hib gets my vote every time turn up manifest and your on a lift within 20 mins friendly DZ and the bar rocks superb accommodation and free showers went over midweek at the start of the season and only three people showed up to jump (it was bloody freezing) they got the turbo finnest out and took us up three people in a ten place aircraft quote from swalty (you turned up to jump its not your fault no one else is here) how many other dz's would have done that Fear is that little darkroom where negatives are developed. Malev 0 #14 August 21, 2003 QuoteSkydive St Andrews is also good Seconded - we may not have the big airplanes, but the people who jump there more than make up for it.
Erroll 80 #15 August 21, 2003 I was fortunate enough to jump at Peterborough (Sibson) while on a business trip. I found the people extremely friendly and helpfull, the whole setup looked well run, with competent staff. The facilities are excellent. We jumped the Skyvan - don't know if it still there. Only (slight) downside, the LZ is quite a distance from the airport, across a little 'valley', but no worries - their van was there, waiting for us upon landing. cpoxon 0 #22 August 21, 2003 I've jumped at all of those DZs and I've not failed to have a good time at each of them (even Headcorn!). Each DZ has it's own Pros and Cons, even my personal favourite, Langar. I suggest you try them all out! Just be aware that some DZs will be closed during the winter (i.e. Weston) and some DZs will have a seriously reduced/non-turbine lift capacity e.g. Sibson)
