I got the link from Drudge, he tends to get stuff out there quicker then most everything else. Even if he is pretty sensationalized. It is an AP report, though, not just his "reported by Matt Drudge" stuff he does.

Going to be interesting to hear from all the DZ.Com lefties who have criticized Bush for lying about WMD. My guess is they will respond withone or all of the following:
1.The CIA planted them.
2. Theres' no evidence they belong to Saddam.
3. They were just being transported thru Iraq.
4. Damned, there goes our best shot at defeating Bush.

having zero credible evidence and falsified documents and playing on pop phobia to garner support, regardless of subsequent events, is not truthful. the event doesnt support the argument.
we'll see how it plays out. lets hope it is true and we got the most of them. whatever it is and whoever we are.

On a serious note no time frame was mentioned for when the arrests happened. So it could be possible that this was some of the intelligence that PM Blair and President Bush used to make their decision.
Hell the story could be mentioned in the interim report that is being given by Kay today but so far neither the BBC nor Fox have reproted it.
On a happier note I went to the site that was linked and my new bride should be here in a week or two.

Only problem with your argument is that there are weapons inspectors that haven't found anything. Hans Blix has said it's unlikely, The Iraqi scientist had centrifuge equipment buried from 10 years ago not 2 or 3 (suggesting it was forgotten about after GW 1 and not buried more recently). There is the article in Time magazine where several players in the WMD field were interviewed and said there's nothing. Also an Iraqi officer was interviewed where he stated that if they had WMD they would have used it to defend the airport.
There have been no significant finds of production facilities and the stories coming out now are of a regime that was either bluffing or that the scientists involved were lying to SH so he never shot them (a plausible explanation in my view).
I doubt the current administration will plant anything but I do doubt they'll find anything.
I think if they're lucky they may find a couple of battlefield artillery rounds but that's about it.

Personally I think the CIA needs to bankroll the Iraq take over. The oil is still in the pipeline and the mafia want their money now.

Surely # of barrels or Tonns or 3 truck loads or something would have been more helpfull.

I hit the link this morning but I've been unable to find anything about it on Fox, Reuters or the BBC.
Those stations seem to be more interested in N.Korea and the report to congress by David Kay.
