Rebecca 0 #1 September 29, 2003 I had two co-workers come up and say "Oh, good, it wasn't you..." Apparently, a female jumper broke her leg or something at Waller this weekend. It made the news, but I haven't seen anything here or in Incidents. Anyone know what I'm talking about? How's she doing? you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Rebecca 0 #3 September 29, 2003 Thanks! I was beginning to think my co-workers were mistaken. I know a lot of Spaceland jumpers were up at Waller this weekend, so I was extra curious and concerned. Whoever it is, I hope she's doing OK. <<>> to her. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Rebecca 0 #11 September 30, 2003 QuoteThis is how rumors get started. Life flight visited Sunday. M'kay, so life flight was there. I still don't know who I'm sending vibes to. Is there a reason this info is so hard to come by? Like I said, it usually gets posted pretty damn fast whenever one of us gets hurt... turtlespeed 226 #13 September 30, 2003 Ok, all I know is that her name is Robin. Take for granted this is second hand info from one of the jumpers that helped her after the oops. That's all I know.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
Rebecca 0 #14 September 30, 2003 Thanks, Turtle. We're getting a little less vague now. I only know of one Robin from Spacey, and I'm not familiar with any that might be from Waller. Regardless, <<>> for Robin!! I'll just sit tight and wait to hear the facts, I guess... you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? flypunk 0 #15 October 1, 2003 The injury was not a local it was one of the visitors, part of an 8 way team. When I inquired about one of her team mates he said that they were treating it as urgent cuz they didn't know if it was a broken femur or pelvis. Last I heard at night (don't know from who or in what state since a lot of people were drinking by then) she had a dislocated femur and was stable. (really second hand information). Luminous 0 #16 October 1, 2003 Update: Robin just emailed the DZ. Quote Hello, I just want to let you guys know that I am doing okay. I tore my adductor and compressed a nerve in my leg. I start physical therapy on Monday and my ortho says that I will be able to compete at Nationals! WOO-HOO !! As far as what happened, I was packing and didn't see it so all I know is hard landing. Glad she's doing well. BSBD Larry P.S. - Nothing to do with night jumps. 2nd round of 8way on Sunday.'In an insane society a sane person seems insane.'
