Jumping the eye???

Recommended Posts

Since this hurricane Isabel is pounding my house, I've been giving alot of thought to maybe ...jumping into the eye of a hurricane. Sounds crazy? Man, but wouldn't it be the all time high??? Anyone have any thoughts about this? Anyone want to research it and jump with me??? Yeah, I know I sound drunk, but honestly, I haven't drank since my 5th child was conceived!

Which reminds me of the incident of a student sucked into a thunderstorm. Now that would have made some video.

Skydiving is easy. All you have to do is relax while plummetting at 120 mph from 10,000' with nothing but some nylon and webbing to save you.

That would be sweet! But also insane. Not recommended. But if you do it and survive, let us know.

Well, you know the saying...you can't kill the crazy...
Besides, I think with a well defined eye close to land...I just might pull it off...

SEEEEE!

Jason thinks i could do it! Just getting a well defined eye close to or on land would work out great.

I think there would be some severly fscked up air pressure in the middle of the eye. Altitude pressure changes can affect canopy openings and flight, so jumping in the eye might be bad.

Yes i know you're probably kidding, but the eye looks in the pictures to be the size of New Jersey so who knows, it might be done.

whos gonna fly that plane?!?!

The Hurricane Hunters out of Tampa, Florida. They have a C-130, it's got a tailgate, sounds like a doable idea to me. Just got to get the crew to go along with it. They are dropping instrumentation out to measure the storm so just volunteer to take some live readings. Just remember to say "hey ya'll watch this" before you step out.

Well, I'VE always wanted to see someone drag a toe through the lip of Niagra Falls.....how good are your swooping skills ? :)

Not a toe drag, but....

And before anyone asks...yes, it is photoshopped.:)
