skybytch 273 #1 September 19, 2003 Today marks one week in Florida and at my new job. While I miss all of "my people" in California, I'm lovin' it here! The weather is awesome - okay it's a bit sticky but I'm dealin' (thank dog for A/C). I'm thinkin' my long pants need to be donated to the Salvation Army cuz I can't see much need for them here. Sebastian is flat gorgeous. It's so green here it makes my eyes hurt. Definitely a big change from the multiple shades of brown in Perris! My new job is everything I thought it would be and more. I'm working way too many hours, but that's okay cuz I have nothing else to do, and I have high speed wireless internet there. The store is slowly beginning to look the way I want it to, and more new stuff is showing up every day. I can watch loads landing from the deck - did I mention that my store has it's own deck? And my boss is exceedingly cool too - but I knew that before I took the job. The people here are all really nice and have been very welcoming. Keith at the Zoo Bar makes a kick ass turkey sandwich, and the beers are reasonably priced (no Hefeweizen though...). Even Molly (my dog) is adjusting well. She's the official store greeter - that is when she's not kickin' it on her blanket in my office. The only dark side to all this is my rig is still up in Washington getting the legstraps shortened so I haven't been able to jump since I got here. But it'll be here soon enough... and I can start using the "back in 25 minutes - up on a load" sign. Silly me, I left the cable that goes between my camera and the computer attached to my machine in California so I can't post the pics I've been taking. Hopefully my kid will get that off to me soon... then you can all see just how cool my new home is. Don't you just love East Coast time? The only bad thing is when they drunk dial you now it is really late for you and early for the left coasters. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
