juanesky 0 #176 September 16, 2003 Quote There are more than 4 people who think that the Allies, without the US, would have eventually defeated Germany during WW2. Look at the map, the size of the countries, and consider how long they could have held that much area without making the residents VERY happy indeed. Wendy, that is true, but the size of the map does not have anything to do with it. Try to remember what the soviet union was and did, and how it came about to end. The Germans were in fact exterminating every race and type of people they did not see fit and also had grim, tight control of almost all of Europe. Quote Germany did not have either population or technological superiority to a degree to make long-term (or even middle-term) conquest possible. Can't agree there, since they did major technological advances in weaponry (Guided bombs and jet engines), late in the game, stopped primarily by the bombing of the allies in their homeland (vastly US). Quote Was it faster with the US helping? Undoubtedly. Was it less damaging with the US helping? Depends on to whom, but probably. If you choose to ignore my responses that will be alright, yet, this question really makes me doubt about the damaging option or alternative you are proposing. I don't get it. Quote Making fun of people is a poor way to debate. It says far more about your ability to debate than theirs. There are intelligent people who disagree with you. There are intelligent people who disagree with them, for that matter. But they talk about the issues, and don't call each other (or others) names, particularly bigoted ones. At this one, it amazes me that even though I am called a Nazi sympathizer I'm the bigot, nevermind answering Skydekker's question of what do I think if Franco would have told Hitler to f*** himself (a=war with Spain X 5), still waiting for Kallend's responses stating that my facts are wrong, about the status of Europe occupation in 1942 , and requesting Jfields an answer of him dissenting his professor, I get no response, NONE. Who is the bigot these days, when all you hear everywhere is the lack of culture because you are american, because you travel less, because US only fights wars where there is oil in it (even though they are reminded of Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Kosovo), because you agree and support the troops, and that absolutely all today's world ills and wrongs are US and GWB induced. They Give little importance to what Sept 11 actually meant for the whole world. It seems that suddenly centuries of history in the middle east have disappeared, and no one else is at fault but the US, and GWB. I wish that a dialogue without political agendas be possible, and alternative viable and peaceful solution at the terrorist problem to be placed in the spotlight, and not talking about one where you will give as "go after Al-whatever" only approach, for we all know that this is needed, is the "how to do it" what is needed. It is such a compound issue that we need a profound revision of the lives we chose to live, how to control population growth, education, pollution trade, things we but, etc, that need a rather fast and prompt change (and i know that GWB has not really done much on these areas). Nevertheless, I thank you for your response, and wish we could all just sit and have a beer and share a jump or 2. So be "safe" everyone and blue skies."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon
pds 0 #177 September 16, 2003 QuoteQuoteGo ahead and explain in what you don't agree with Kallend. They don't have anything to do with the mockery of logic you are exhibiting in this thread. For those purposes, I'll cheerfully acknowledge 100% agreement with everyone offering rebuttals to your points. points? every treatise on logic i have ever read would lead me to characterise the vast majority of juan's posts to be a hodge-podge of second rate fallacies that deserve about as much consideration as that given to the heavens-gate folks and their conclusions. juan, the first step is to realize that you are, in truth, arguing with yourself. good luck.namaste, motherfucker. juanesky 0 #178 September 16, 2003 Again a simple answer from a simple mind. Hiding from someones response from a direct question. What are the points he does not agree with Kallend?"According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

Unfortunately, with the bigoted diatribes you are posting here, I reckon there might be a few people who would not take you up on this offer.--------------------------------------------------------- When people look like ants - pull. I suggest you take a look at actual data concerning how the V weapons were discovered, such things as tonnage of bombs dropped on V weapons sites, Peenemunde etc., and bother to find out how the Nazi a-bomb project was effectively ended and by whom, before claiming "vastly US".... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
