Synergie 0 #2 September 5, 2003 Oh great and I still don't know who you are hehehe. Yes, I was very very nervous! I was going to put it off until this weekend, but I am glad I didn't now :) I don't know why I was so nervous. All the way up in the plane I was almost shaking,... but then when it came time to climb out and jump, I went into some kind of robot mode and did everything all text-book like! As soon as the chute opened, and I knew it was all ME that time... well, I screamed and hooted and hollared (even though noone could hear me yet)! It was DEFINATELY a big confidence booster to me! Now I wanna go higher! :) I will be there Saturday providing I can get a ride from the city. Oh yeah, and I have to stop at a beer store too don't I??? lol ---- ---- Everyone who lives eventually dies, but not everyone who has died has truly lived. DeNReN 0 #3 September 5, 2003 Being nervous is natural......your 1st FF is a big step....on the ride up you should be reviewing what is gona happen as u prepare to exit the plane and on the way down...including your emergency proceedures....not leaving alot of time to be "freaking out" ....consult your J/M about this....reviewing/rehershing the jump helps me alot when im feeling nervous on the ride up.......And more alititude...thats what we all want ...ure next jump will prob be a 5 sec delay..than a 10 and so on and so on.YEHAAAA!!!!!....WELCOME TO SKYDIVING! Synergie 0 #4 September 6, 2003 I do go over and over in my head on the way up... actually I start before I even leave the ground. I practiced and practiced so that my hand would go back to the exact spot to pull. It worked :) I think I was just nervous because I did not have enough confidence in myself even though the instructors were telling me they had every confidence in me... guess I should listen more often I fully intend to go higher and higher this weekend... cash providing of course. Why do I have the feeling that this sport is going to break me?? hehe ---- ---- Everyone who lives eventually dies, but not everyone who has died has truly lived.
