StumpJump 0 #1 September 7, 2011 Whaooo! I just bought my first rig! I should get to jump it next week when the Vigil come in and gets installed. (yes, I demo'd the main & love it) Now, what do people typically do in terms of insuring rigs for damage, loss or theft? If you loose your main in a cut-away, is that plus the free bag and pilot chute from the reserve an insured loss?http://AmpedSkydiving.com/ https://www.facebook.com/AmpedSkydiving "Experience is what you get when you were expecting something else." hcsvader 1 #2 September 7, 2011 First off, where do you jump? Some Skydiving associations offer gear insurance for just those sorts of incidents. Sometimes your renters or homeowners policy will also cover this kind of stuff. I added a special policy to my tenants insurance to cover sporting equipment up to $25,000 to cover loss or damage for a pretty cheap premium.Have you seen my pants? it"s a rough life, Livin' the dream >:)
hchunter614 0 #3 September 7, 2011 Gratz on the new rig. In the US, renters and homeowners insurance usually covers damage and theft (including from your car or while at the dz) but you may have to declare the equipment or add a rider to the poilcy. I do not know of any insurance that will cover your lost main from a cut-away.
koppel 4 #4 September 8, 2011 Love the APF insurance... main is covered after a cut-away as are components like free-bag and handles. Covered for loss and theft as well :)I like my canopy... ...it lets me down.
