flyangel2 2 #27 September 4, 2003 My mom is coming for a visit this weekend so I got the carpets cleaned, and the lawn mowed. Plus, I got to meet the Rev. That's a good thing that will last months and months. Got to chat with friends in the pub last night.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

lawrocket 3 #29 September 4, 2003 Hmm... Positives about ME??? Tough to find, but I'll go. 1. There must be something good about me since I'm with the lady of my dreams. Maybe today I'll ask her what's good about me. I guess I'm good at choosing a lady!!!!2. What really makes me feel good is working my ass off, and know that everything I've gotten I have done for myself. My wife is hotter than your wife. TitaniumLegs 8 #34 September 4, 2003 I sold one of my rigs last weekend. This is a good thing because I don't need three, and Philippe needed one. I got a good price, he got a good rig. We're both pretty happy. Steph is coming to the NutBar with me tonight. I want to second (or third or fourth) the "I have great friends" sentiment. Best for last: We'll be parents in a couple weeks. smiles 0 #43 September 4, 2003 gotta like it! I made 900 jumps on my 220 cruise-lite and it was stored in the closet. I gave it away to an accuracy jumper that totally appreciates it- now I get to see it in the air and being used still!!!!! At manifest paying for jumps the other day, I received a wrapped gift box???? A jumpers way of showing appreciation--a beauty pin necklace by Preyor Pins!!!! Make my day or what? This week being infused with $3,500.00 worth of monoclonal antibody- (mouse and human protiens?) Actually called Infliximab/Remicade. Protiens called "cytokines" regulate the functioning of every person's immune system. Cytokines can either cause inflammation or prevent it and are evenly balanced. My body chemistry is screwed with increased inflamation- tooo much TNF-a and this medication is able to specifically block TNF-a and cure my problems!!!!!! (rather than take anti-inflamatories and have pain the rest of my life) yeeeehaaaaa- talk about positive!! SMiles

lurch 0 #45 September 4, 2003 Oh what the hell.... I got out to lebanon for the beer time last weekend where I hit a new high point in my jumping career at 218 jumps and got the reward for all this hard work and jumping by test flying a Birdman classic, immediately followed by ordering a GTI. Whatever you do, do NOT test fly a wingsuit people, its nylon crack. One flight and you WILL buy one. My checking account is trashed and I'm happy about it and still, days later, bouncing off the walls trying to deal with a suddenly altered reality where I have wings that work. I'd like to thank Lawndart21 for shooting video from the ground, can't wait to see how it came out.Live and learn... or die, and teach by example. lurch 0 #48 September 4, 2003 Yup...I royally hosed him on the exit timing, I was so wrapped up with mentally rehearsing emergency procedures, wingout timing, deployment sequence etc, I absently asked what kind of delay after the others got out or just go whenever? He said yup. So, I totally spaced the exit count, got in the door, looked at him for a second and then just went.... DOH! On the positive side however the flight itself was a living fantasy like nothing else. Zero problems controlling the flight, I just thought "fly this way" "fly that way" and it just happened. I'm hooked for life. Edit: another positive note is that the time it will take for the suit to be built and delivered will give my rationality coolheadedness and skills time to catch up with my enthusiasm. I chose my gear (sabre2 170, .98 w/l approx.) specifically to give as much of a margin for error as possible and got a nice clean twistless on-heading deployment, but now that I got to do this its time to sit back chill out think things through nice and easy and practice practice practice....Live and learn... or die, and teach by example. Laters, KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes you did! I much appreciated it, Kramer, you're an awesome guy! Me: I am getting 500+$ check cut to me from financial aid, this should pay my overdraft off. I just got a check from my old mtg co for my escrow balance, 127$ (jump $$! ) I get three paychecks in October (savings for a rig). My brother just got out of prison:) I am finally fixing my brakes on Saturday. I may get to hang out with Sunnydee on Sunday in Sebastian. I went to the pool today and studied chemistry rather than swimming the whole time. There is beer at my house waiting for me:) I've made more friends in the last 6 weeks than in my entire life.
