Judging from the jagged edge on the wing, I would say it got ripped off. Silly skydivers... no more hangs from the wing tips!
NoPush 0 #12 September 2, 2003 I agree.......look at the distance from the front slatts (sp) on each wing and compare........ Diverdriver.....how hard would that be to fly? Editteded fer spelliing and name dislecksia......thanks /jim
MC208B 0 #13 September 2, 2003 I'm not the Diverdriver, but it would be no problem at all to fly. Those "winglets" are there to improve fuel ecomomy as are the "chisel tails" on MD 80/MD11 aircraft. Curious about how that thing fell off tho!

quatorze 1 #15 September 2, 2003 isn't that the beforer pic of the AIr Canada 747 cargo that blew out its aft section because the pilot's flair was to steep? I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
wlie 0 #16 September 2, 2003 QuoteJudging from the jagged edge on the wing, I would say it got ripped off. It's just a minor case of end cell closure. Just fly it with a bit of brakes and it should re-appear.My other ride is the relative wind.

PilotMike 0 #20 September 2, 2003 Skydivers ripping stuff off the plane is the reason small plane jump pilots wear emergency rigs. If I ever had to use mine, I would be tempted to get a nice freefly in before deployment. I've heard a round deployment at terminal isn't the nicest thing to go through though -------- Benefitting from the 'free capture of verticality.'
