Its one thing to have a personal attack made on you in the forums because of your views and what you said: yeah right, back on your bike, buddy...

Its another to be slandered and abused through your messages box...

I posted a message in the incidents section,
(tandem cypress fire) and in return copped a rather nice pm from a rather nice dz.commer...

"If you haven't got anything nice to say..."

Not only did they not have anything particularly nice to say, they didn't have anything particularly useful to say either.

I'm assuming the person who sent it, didn't have the front to do it in the forums where everyone would see, and prefered instead to proverbially do it behind everyone's backs. So I'm spoiling his fun and letting you all know.

Sorry for the troll everyone, but this really sucks and I don't think its something we should be condoning.

Goodness knows I'm no angel, but I try not to abuse people through their personal boxes/e-m unless there's a damn good reason (or a damn big misunderstanding...sorry Sangiro!!)

I don't think a single post on dz.com quite qualifies.... (unless its a nearly porn picture of you posed by your ex, perhaps)

If it happens again, I'll post the messages and the persons name/handle and leave the condoning/condemning to the rest of you.

Trust me I know what you mean. In fact, I had to change my name because of another person here who dumped in my mail. I didn't agree with it, but what the greenies told me was:

It is called PM (PRIVATE) for a reason.

Try your best not to post PM's and do you best just to ignor the A-hole who is pissing you off.

paul, posting PMs is a real bad idea. it will not solve the problem and will most certainly cause many more by appearing to set precedence.

why bother wasting your time and energy worrying about useless words in the ether...if said persons opinion means so little to you why do you give it more time and weight by drawing further attention to it?? simply flame the hell out of them, let them know exactly how you feel, then delete it and forget about it, or skip the flame completely and continue on your way......its simply words in the ether and only has the significance you give it.....
