indyz 1 #1 August 9, 2003 ...jumped a biplane, demoed a Lotus, did CRW, jumped a wingloading over 1.4:1, landed in a cornfield, landed in a football field, did two inflatible jumps, met too many DZ.commers to list, climbed into the rafters of a hangar, saw boobies, jumped a Skyvan, drove a golfcart, got rained on, got a sunburn, went on a tracking dive, drank a lot, ignored my cell phone, became a Muff Brother, and failed to buy a single t-shirt. So what'd you do at Rantoul? BTW, pictures on my website soon. If I took a picture of you and you don't want it on the Internet, lemme know soon please. robskydiv 0 #5 August 10, 2003 I met DJan, she is very sweet. I gave Anita (my LO) a big hug for organizing two kick-ass skydives. I left a big box of Kenner rubber bands in the tent.
AirMail 0 #6 August 10, 2003 I must have met a hundred DZ.commies. I too jumped the biplane. Jumped the C130 on a 200 mph jump run. Jumped Otters and Casas. Kicked another jumper's canopy after opening. Got kissed by Sunshine in freefall. Jumped on a 9-way inflatable alligator dive, and another dive with a shark and became a Muff Brother and a Rodriguez Brother. Got rained on. Drank a lot of beer and ate a lot of jello shots. Got conned out of my tee shirt by the fat beer bitch. Saw many boobies and participated in some very advanced nignoggery. I had a wicked good time. Woohoo, it was all good and did not suck at all. skydiverbrian 0 #7 August 10, 2003 Met a bunch of dot commers, proving once and for all that I am a real person and not some simulated computerized life form. Drank beer, socialized, and caused a political stir among some. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
diverdriver 5 #8 August 10, 2003 ...showed that I'm not one dimensional (flashes "Ninz" sign to my homies), met many dot commies and even met some people who have just read some of my writings. I also like hearing with a little disbelief "You're Diver Driver?" I guess some poeple's mental image of who I am was a bit different. I also got to jump with the HH and Betsy and Skydekker, and Indyz, and SkymonkeyOne (one majorly cool Birdman jump - ok it was my first) and DJan, and Flyangel, and eeneR, and others that I'm sorry I'm forgetting your names. I liked Rantoul. I think it will continue to grow again as long as aircraft listed for jumping do arrive.Chris Schindler www.diverdriver.com ATP/D-19012 FB #4125
moodyskydiver 0 #9 August 10, 2003 Jeez where do I start! I met tons of dz.commers and made so many new friends.Had way too many jello shots and found out the hard way just what happens when you drink straight Tequila slushies after running out of margurita mix. Made many docks/turned points doing golf cart RW. Had an all day scavenger hunt looking for said golf cart after the previous nights drinking frenzy.I had the privilege of being the first to give Wingnut his birthday kiss at midnight.Spent 3 mins in the wind tunnel.I accidently got an eye full of DaGimp while he took off his freefly pants.Took a really long walk down 2 runways, past the swoop pond and damn near to the RV park and back at like 2am one night but don't remember exactly why I did this.I almost made the bytch blush (love ya Lisa!).But of course the most prominent of my nig noggery was letting everyone in tent city hear just how much fun I was having. JumpNut10 0 #18 August 11, 2003 Met tons of dz.commers, drank all the free beer I could, ate way too many jello shots, shot an old man with a water gun in the crotch (wish I had a pic of the look on his face), flashed for beads (thanks to the jello shots and beer of course), and knocked a guy off a golfcart by running into a row of port-a-potties. oops. hmm... sleep doesn't seem to have made it to my list of things I did.... bbarnhouse 0 #19 August 11, 2003 I jumped, ate, ate some more, got more of a tan there than in Arizona. Did some fun jumps with DZ dots, the PD crew (Thanks Kevin,Kolla and Kim it was great fun!) Ate a fantastic meal prepared by the Carbones...OMG yummy! I also took shelter in their fine bus as it poored down rain. Was like winter to me and was clothed as such for the most part until the sun kissed us once again. Finally revealed the "secret" which was nothing less than hysterical. Spent quite a bit of time at the Birdman tent, met with the vendors to ensure that they are coming for the Holiday Boogie (yes its going to be quite a line up!) I ate more frozen custard than I should have and will have to do some creative nutritial reducing just to fit in my competition suit I spoke with our Katie when she reached stateside which brought tears to my eyes. (Glad you're finally home lovey!) Lastly, I had the rare opportunity to ride back to Eloy in the L-39 fighter jet with stops in Kansas, Texas, and New Mexico for fuel. Crusing speed was 340 knots. Bomb diggety babay... Most of all I walked around the camp sights and met a lot of new folks. Life is good.
kallend 2,028 #20 August 11, 2003 Had a long talk with Gary Peek (USPA RD) about safety stuff. Said "Hi" to DJan and Sangiro. Got wet. Spent 2 days jumping with Roger Ponce de Leon.Discovered I could drive from home to Rantoul in 1hr 20 mins.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. RevJim 0 #21 August 11, 2003 Hmmm, at Rantoul, I: Did my first double tandem wedding. (My video too). Did my first Demo with streamers. (AWSOME and WAY FREAKING COOL!) Found out that a dead mans swoop in the Rantoul grass will chew the shit out of your feet if you are stupid enough to do it wearing sandals. Realized that you can drink enough in 2 nights to make up for the rest of the nights you missed. Met some old friends. Made lots of new friends. ........need sleepIt's your life, live it! Clownburner 0 #22 August 11, 2003 ...Bought 10 cases of beer (and assorted mixed drinks), jumped the biplane, got my first kiss pass, learned how _not_ to do a reverse rodeo, showed Phreezone and Chasing Blue Sky what a REAL screwdriver tastes like (and how to mix one in a pitcher), got smacked in the head trying to hold on to an inflatable alligator (repeatedly), became a muff brother (#3345), flew a BigAir Sportz kite, partied like a Czar with SkymonkeyONE (I swear that stuff in the jar was syphoned out of one of the casa's), started free-stowing the lines on my main (or should I say, Phree-stowing them?), got drunk and missed my Rodriguez brothers' initiation , did golf cart CRW, started the Seven Cell Posse (Represent!), stood up every landing (ok, except for one that was more like a slider), introduced HeatherB to the RW-Grip-of-Death(tm), and met a lot of really great dot-communists that I hope to do a lot more jumps with in the future. Oh, and I kept anyone from sleeping in tent city on Monday night . All in all, the best time imaginable... I can't wait for the next one! In fact, the only real bummer was yesterday, when I went to Perris and did some jumps, I found a WFFC jump ticket stuck in my logbook that I didn't know was there. DaGimp 0 #23 August 11, 2003 hmm where to begin....met sunshine in her drunkin stuper...saw her naked..then got woken up by her later that night.... im sorry. then SM1 showed up and we proceeded to drik like vikings till 3am the night before jumping started. jump, drink, jump, drink, jump, drink, blur blur blur, jump, drink. Met lots of awsome people and had way to much fun....although for my Rodriquez initiation i was a little upset that more guys wanted to spank my ass then women. But made about 50 jumps, drink more liqure then i can remember, did Car RW with Phree, had an all around great time...see you all in the sky!"Professor of Pimpology"~~~Bolas
