Orange, VA??

Recommended Posts

I'm a tad biased as I learned to jump at Orange back in 1993 and have jumped there ever since. I've done quite a bit of travelling and I have jumped many places but I still think Orange is one of the busiest and friendliest DZ's on the East coast. We mostly jump hard Wednesday and Friday afternoons and all day on Saturday and Sunday. We do jump year round. We do have a full time Cesna and Super Otter pilot so call the hangar at (540) 672-5054 if you want to see if we're jumping any other times. You're more than welcome to camp out as we have all the facilities you need. It looks like you're still working on getting your license so call (877) DIVE-SKY and let Ned know you're coming out and we'll get you up. I hope to see you there.

Hmmm...if you go back and look at her posts, it would certainly seem like she is stalking someone. If you want to skydive, go because it's something you want to do, not because you want to be with someone.

Seriously,

I went through as a visiting jumper and found the atmosphere to be real good. Everybody was real friendly, they took me in with open arms.. They have this cool tradition, the last dive of the day is dedicated to making a beer run. It's where crappy donation beer is placed in the pea pit and the jumpers come swwoping by attempting to kick them. If they suceed, they are rewarded with a nice cold godd brand beer to quench the thirst after landing. I would definitely recommend this dropzone to anyone. Don't know about their AFF program much, but they have a good pool of really experienced freeflyers. I know they have a web site. Check it out.. I think they are also club run, where no one person is the owner, but the club runs the DZ..

Well thank you Miguel for the information! I am glad to know that you don't think that I am stalking someone. I think I will check out the dz, myself and a couple of roomates are going to VA and we would like to make our first jump together, so we are feeling out either skydive VA or Orange. Thanks again for you advice.. Jenna

What I mean is that the very first post you put on our forums asked specific information about one of my good friends, who it turns out is one of your very-ex boyfriends. You have asked leading questions in several of the specified forums which lead me, and quite a few others, to believe that you are making it a point to to show up somewhere he might be just to see what kind of rise you may get. I can promise you that neither that person, nor his very-cool girlfriend would appreciate that. Had I any inclination that you would have used our forums for that purpose, I can promise you that I would not have given up what little information I did. Numerous PM's from some other friends made that clear to me, so I am making it my business to make sure that this does not get any further out of hand. Orange, Virginia is a fantastic dropzone, as is Perris Valley, California, but showing up there just to get near the person you continually ask about can only lead to heartache. Skydiving is an incredibly small community with the more-specified disciplines being even more tightly knit. Bottom line here is that you have not even barely hid the fact that you intend to come to a location where this person is, solely for the purpose of creating a stink. Do yourself a favor and find a dropzone nearer your current location if you truly want to experience the joy of skydiving. I have been given the full rundown on your past with the person in question and can tell you in no uncertain terms that there is nothing positive you can accomplish by showing up at a place where he might be. Sorry to be crass, but I can't stand this charade.

Peace, but move on.

Chuck

What do you mean it sounds like I am stalking someone!!?

Well, let's see...

First, you came on here looking for a specific jumper by name whom you used to know. When you were told that he was in Orange and that he's also a swooper, you all the sudden got very interested in Orange and swooping, even though you do not skydive.

Then, you wanted to know if people were going to the World Cup out in CA.

After that, you wanted to know how a boogie in Orange was going. It's very strange for a whuffo to be interested in a regular boogie that takes place a few states away.

Next, you posted that you were looking for a nice looking instructor. When you were told where to go in Maine, you said you wanted to go to Orange. There's a pattern here!

Soon after, you were back to your plans on going to the swoop meet in CA and wanted to know places to stay. You're not a skydiver, yet you want to travel all the way across the country to see a swoop meet. Why is that?

Finally, you posted to this forum wanting to know about Orange again. Do you see why we think you are stalking him? He has a girlfriend...give it up and move on, sweetie, because he sure has.

Jason and I have been together for quite a while so I would appreciate all of you stopping the slanderous remarks of him being with some "woman". Okay, he's not gay. (And neither am I for that matter). Just stirring the pot.......I sense a Springer show coming on...........
