CanuckInUSA 0 #526 October 21, 2002 Seeing as I was jumping at 6500 MSL yesterday (and I jump at 5000 MSL at my home DZ), I think 1500 MSL shouldn't be an issue for me (who knows, it may be a little slow on this camper). Now I've seen a few hot landings at my DZ (our own Hook'nswoop being one of the hottest I've see), but it'll be interesting to see of the other world class swoopers at Eloy. I made most of my jumps a 1000+ msl, the landings will be faster than at sea level, but all you need to do is fly the canopy and all will be good... I jumped there last June and coming from a 130' msl you DO notice a faster landing, but then again, it will be a lot cooler in December which will slow things down a bit too... skycat 0 #538 October 22, 2002 btw....to get a perspective on elevation, if you jumped at: Couch Freaks you jumped at 1157ft Lost Prarie - 3560ft WFFC (rantoul) - 737ft WFFC (quincy) - 769ft Perris Valley - 1413ft So some of you, especially if you have jumped at Perris have probably already landed at that elevation.
