Jib 0 #27 August 25, 2003 0:9:0 A flatflying weekend consisting of a "fucked up 8 way" and a bunch of 3-5 ways. KenKnight 0 #31 August 25, 2003 All in all a great weekend. Only did 1 solo out of the 7, plenty of people willing to jump with me. Sat participated in my first chute and chug and managed a respectable 3rd place finish. Hmm, might have to practice my chugging skills a little more._______________ D28695 PoPs #9237 "Mix ignorance with arrogance at low altitude and the results are almost guaranteed to be spectacular" — Bruce Landsberg

CanuckInUSA 0 #33 August 25, 2003 0:9:0 At times, Mother Nature messed with my jump weekend (it could have been worse mind you) what with clouds and wind. But nine jumps isn't bad either. BobB 0 #34 August 25, 2003 1*:1:KEG!! 1*: I bought...Wachovia Bank bought my first rig ever!! (Yes, I'm still so mystified that I have it sitting here next to me while I post ) 1 jump on Saturday...1-way, my personalities are still debating how many points were turned. 1 KEG (yes, that's a KEG) owed at Raeford. Somebody (me) told someone else via PM here that I would buy a keg if I got my rig...True to my word I am going to try and do it...perhaps next weekend for the Labor Day Boogie (I hope the CASA is flying for that ). Yes, I know it is snowing. No, we are not putting the top up.

pilotdave 0 #36 August 25, 2003 0:4:at least 5 100th jump, first jump on demo equipment, first jump on a ZP canopy, first time packing ZP (ugh), and my first landing in corn (at least 7 feet tall...double ugh). Stood it up though! After trying out a Sabre2 I realized that F111 opens hard and lands hard. I already planned to get a new container but that got me thinking I better get a new canopy while I'm at it. The idea of packing brand new ZP just sounds awful to me though. And picking colors is gonna be tough. What a difficult life I lead... Dave

Snowbird 0 #40 August 25, 2003 8000:4:1 Sweet weekend! Did an 8000ft hop'n'pop today, much fun! Saturday did my first kiss pass. Finally got to jump with my hubby Very cool to be there with him. Also did my first real 4-way, sorta. First time I've been left in the door! Talk about a mis-cued exit, I hadn't even taken grips yet! pd190 0 #45 August 25, 2003 0:4:0 Had a nice busy weekend at the DZ. 0 - nothing changes. 4 - did two tandems, one vid and a HnP on Sunday. 0 - no cases owed. Didn't get a whole lot of jumping in, but did get a good start on helping put our new video room together. Things are changing on the beach! Our facilities are changing (slowly but surely) and operations are starting to run more efficiently. Already looking forward to a great weekend to come! PhreeZone 20 #46 August 25, 2003 1 very sore back: 7:2 Had a lot of fun, gota lot of pain... Started the weekend off with a Tandem that pulled on me at 9k , did 2 FF's, watched a kid I was FF'ing with have a pilot chute and two and open the reserve about 1800 feet. Chased him down and landed in an area that was PRO rated to make sure he was ok. Went back up and did a nice wingsuit flight. Ended the day by jumping a ParaCommander. Yes, BEER for my first round jump. I should have spent a lot more time on the ground practicing PLF's since I did'nt do one and impacted straight down. I was twitching and was about to pass out from the pain at a few points. A long sleep, some pills and a long hot soaking made it so I could walk again. Went out to the DZ sunday with plans of just sitting there. Ended up helping to fuel the plane. Pilot let me ride along and ended up letting me fly the Otter I like flying! That would be case two owed... never really flew a plane before. I did 2 clear and pulls to make sure I had'nt lost the nerve. Saw 3 cutaways and there was 1 more that I missed this weekend. One of them had the main and Freebag land within 100 feet of manifest. NOICE spotting! I'm yet to return to terminal... but in a few more days I might try it again. Rounds are VERY cool... but the landings SUCK!Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
wildblue 7 #47 August 25, 2003 200(foot long dinner boat I went on) : 4 : ?? Saw Cirque du Soleil's Varekai on Sunday - that was a cool show! Saw fireworks from the lake Saturday - that was spiffy-cool-neato too! Saw myself on video friday... flailing around after having not jumped in a month. No, it's not just like riding a bike! Can't wait for the pictures to be develooped though!
