skybytch 273 #1 August 25, 2003 A couple years ago my son decided he wanted to learn to fly. He got 10 or so hours in, then ran out of money. Since then he's had other priorities for his money so he hasn't been able to continue flying lessons. He sold his horse a couple months ago and has managed to save some of what he got. Last week he decided he needed to go fly. He really wanted to solo before I leave for Florida; he wants me to be there to watch. He's flown two hours in the past week, and he's flying again today. If everything goes good, he'll be soloing on Saturday. The timing couldn't be better since my ex will be here for the weekend. It's Tom's fault that David got into flying; it will mean a lot to Dave to have him there too. I'm way proud of this kid.

skybytch 273 #3 August 25, 2003 Quotebut he should learn to get out of the plane too shouldn't he ??? He did an AFF level 1 when he turned 18. Neither of us can afford for him to jump more right now Besides, think about it. If he's a pilot and not a skydiver... bandit jumps!
