The Deucebirthday road trip travelogue.

It really rocked. Left the house Thursday, went down 101 to Fort Hunter Ligget, turned west. On 101 somebody pelted me with something heavy and broke the lens on my headlight. I was glad I had my full face on cause there was glass everywhere. It felt like somebody dropped a water glass on my from an overpass. At Ft. Hunter Ligget I didn't have my proof of insurance but I did have my retired police ID, so that got me through. Beautiful ride.

Night one in Big Sur. Drank Guinness and Bushmills, got hammered, ate good, slept well.

Next day all the way up 1 to Fort Bragg. Long day, beautiful again. Gorgeous hotel room. Ate breakfast with some hippie communists, but damn, those organic eggs are good.

Home down 29 via Napa. Taylor's Refresher makes the best hamburgers in the world. Had one with Bleu cheese and grilled onions.

Skydiving on Sunday, Chop was out with boy and girlfalldown, and the rest of my buds. My wife came out with my Mom, who had never seen me skydive, and they lit a campfire on a cake. 40 candles is enough to be seen from orbit.

The cap was my daughter losing a tooth. Tore it right out of her head.

It is a truly wierd time for me, but it is such a blessing to have freinds.

JP

Yeah, I was amazed you knew where it was.

It's one of those roads I don't think you can ever forget. Spent many a weekend back there camping and riding and exploring.

The sunset from where you took that pic... dang near a religious experience.

That settles it...I EXPECT a darn sunset next time I'm out that way. Not fair since my sunsets are always behind a 30 ft pine tree. >:(

Hey, next time take me a sunset pic ok, JP?

Ain't it great to have birthdays sometimes? Those are great pictures, and I'll bet there're better memories to go with them.
