We had a nice storm blow through downtown Nashville today, and I had a great view from my office window. Chances are you will get your storm..just not on the weekend when we're jumping!

Ok, Friday will be fine, or Monday...that would be luscious.

This is going to be most fun....

Do you plan on jumping while you are here? I'm sorry, but there are no male strip clubs... however, you can probably stop a guy on the street and he will take off his pants if you ask him. No cover charge! heheee.. jk!

No, I don't think we will be jumping, unfortunately. Not that I don't want to, but I don't think the time will be available....

However, if Lori and I can escape the clutches of her husband and Muenkel, we will approach random men on the street, and ask them to take off their pants. Well, alright, I will. Lori may not be too comfortable with that idea.

OTOH, you never know what a woman loosed from her husband, escorted by a wild SoCal skydiving Chicka will get up to.....

ROFL!!!!

What! No Jumping?!?!?!

Sacrilege... and remember we are in the heart of the Bible belt...

One of us is grounded for the time being due to a perforation in the inner ear canal. Plus, that person is only on Cat. D-1 of AFF. I'm not telling who that person is.:P

just checked weatherunderground....

Friday: Partly cloudy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the lower 70s. Highs in the upper 80s.
Saturday Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. Highs in the upper 80s.
Sunday and Monday Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 60s. Highs in the mid 80s.

Oh, maybe I will get my storm. Can anyone say "let's go play in the rain?" Whhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

I will be coming from a heatwave where it's been over 100 for nearly 2 weeks straight here...so upper 80's will be most pleasant. Except the humidity. That may not be too fun. But it's all good - I'll be away from Los Angeles, and there could be nothing better than that!

Oh, this is gonna be fun!!!!!

Michele - The heat index today is only 110 here in Memphis. Nashville is only 3 hours away. When you've had enough "country", give me a call, and we can show you a little "rock -n- roll", or blues, or whatever.

This summer has actually been pretty mild up until this last weekend.

Have a great time, if you need anything, call West Tennessee Skydiving, and we will come get you.

Your doc will let you travel by plane but not skydive? That doesnt make a lot of sense.. but then I'm no expert on inner ear maladies. (ouch!)
But seriously, if y'all decide to come jump in Tullahoma, we are fun group of jumpers, we have a big plane, and for Muenkel, lots of room on the ground. I'll even let you pack for me so you wont feel left out! B|
I'm sure your hosts will take good care of you, but if you want more info on fun places to go out in Nashville, PM me.

well, my understanding of the matter is that airlines are only pressurized to like 8k or something and the compression as you decend in an airliner is much less than the drastic change in freefall (I could be a little off, but that's my understanding anyway) and it's that drastic change that could hurt him further. Plus, he can take steroids to help dry things out and minimize poroblems flying in pressurized aircraft...

but you're right, the beech is a fun jumpship, esp. when that old man pilot shudders the plane on jumprun. I hate those benches and seat belts though...

hey-- wanna join us for a drink this weekend?

I'd still make sure his doc okays it. I took a flight back home from a business trip a couple of years back with what I thought was only a little minor congestion.

I had to be carried off of the airplane because of the amount of pain I was in. I was lucky I didn't do any serious damage.

Hey Kris,

The doc has Ok'd it. I have been on prednisone since Friday which has released the pressure in my ears. It didn't heal the tear in the ear canal, that will take time. But it is the pressure that would have posed a problem, not the tear.

And Michele, I want a big Cora hug. She's a skygodess...you know.

Chris, I give and expect the same kind of hugs that Michele gives and expects. So...full body contact, tight hug, one of those "I've just been hugged hugs." :)

Sweet! Thanks, hon! If they haven't taken hints from the "Hugs" thread, do you think we should plan a "How to Give a Proper Hug" seminar? :D

Have a blast everyone! Relax, have fun, sleep in....

Taurus
Today may well find you in the mood to head out on a venture or to visit someone, dear Taurus. When was the last time you took a day for something like this? Chances are, it's been too long, and not only will you enjoy it, others will be thrilled to have some time with you, as well. Whether you invite a friend to join you or go by yourself, seize the opportunity to connect with people you haven't seen in a while or to visit a new place

heheheheheheheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

Even the stars are lining up for me!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaahoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm packing right now, and tomorrow at 12:15, my Pop comes to pick me up and throw me on a plane. How fun will this be?

Midori in a Treehouse, here I come!

You're packing already????

Of course I am.

That way, I can make sure I have enough of everything for 2 weeks, even though it's only 5 days. I can fill all bags to bursting, unpack everything, make three lists, and pack it all up again, checking the list off as I go. I'll have the bags waiting at the curb for my 80 y/o father to load them into the trunk as I frantically wave my freshly done manicure in the air, thus making it dry faster. Then I'll chatter all the way to the airport while I am doing the rest of my makeup. At the terminal, I will rent one of those carts because I simply can't carry the stuff on my own because it might screw up my manicure and because I am wearing those 4" heels we all must travel in.

Once I actually board the plane, I will impose on my travelling companion to get my overnight bag up into the overhead bin. And I will choose a window seat, and make sure I get up once every 1/2 hour and climb over the people next to me. I will make sure I overfill my cup so that when we hit turbulence, it will spill and soak the person next to me. I will ask the attendent for blankets and a pillow, so I can sleep, and then, trying to get comfy, I will spread the blanket out over the whole row and lean against my neighbor's shoulder.

Then, once we land, I will reverse the procedure.

I love travelling!!

Of course, Chris, you're a guy. You will bring 2 pair of underwear, your regular ones and a clean pair for church. You'll wear everything else...
