sdctlc 0 #1 August 21, 2003 Since the other thread went over so well but then became bogged down, but it was fun.... Here is a new challenge: A group of children found a large sum of money on the street and took it to the police. The grateful owner gave each of them a reward. If there had been two more children in the group, they each would have received $1.00 less, with $2.00 left over to be divided into cents. If there had been double the number, each would have received exactly $2.50 less. If there had been three fewer of them, each one would have received $2.00 more and there would have been $1.00 left to split into pennies. This way, each received an exact sum in dollars, with no cents left over. How many children and how large was each reward? Have Fun..... Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" Jayruss 0 #2 August 21, 2003 none, hopefully they would realize that keeping the large sum of money would be of greater financial benefit than a small reward __________________________________________________ "Beware how you take away hope from another human being." -Oliver Wendell Holmes

rehmwa 2 #5 August 21, 2003 Yup The brain teasers are more fun, though. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants
