Just got a call from a buddy asking why I wasnt there. Iron Butterfly did a free show and I was supposed to be there. I forgot all about it. He said they were friggin awesome.
There are some bands that I try to make sure I see when they come around, you know, the oldies that aint gonna be around much longer.Well, I missed this one

I believe (<- standard disclaimer) that you are
refering to the original bass player, who (once
again) I believe was not in the band for that
recording., and who disappeared off the face
of the planet a couple or three years ago.

Saw these guys in a free show in a shopping
mall parking lot in Philly in, uh, '69....ouch.
