smoking pot

Recommended Posts

Dude, I think you are missing the point.

DO:

what you want, where you want, when you want, as long as your impaired state does not endanger others.

DON'T:

advertise that you do it, where you do it, when you do it, where you want to do it, or involve business names in it (as you are by having Spaceland in your profile). These forums ARE more than likely monitored actively or in the background (look up something called "echelon" and get scared).

Besides, to me, advertising that "Hey, I am a pot smoker and heroin user" seems kinda, well... dorky.

Can anyone recommend an extreme sport that doesn't have this heavy family value/bible influence?

Surfing? Ice climbing?

I can't believe there aren't skydivers out there that have devoted their lives to breaking the laws of god and man.

I've seen golfers that are more rebellious than some of you guys.

I'm in the minority though, and I digress.

And I don't jump high - I already said that.

Please don't hate me or try to kill me.

Duuuude! What the F...! Why should skydivers be rebellious??? I don't see how jumping out of plane makes one more likely to do dope. The way I understand all your statements in this thread makes me think that the high you get skydiving is not enough for you. Why would someone need "to chill" after a day's jumps or have their mind altered??? I find it sad that one would not be satisfied by the high provided by skydiving and just the normal socializing with the amazing people found on a DZ after a day's jumping...
You don't need to explain to me the benefits of pot smoking... I had ample experience with it for many years! To me, pot kills the spirit of skydiving!

Bottom line: It's your right to smoke it.... BUT DO IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! Maybe you should join a golf club...>:(

A skydiver told me at the last boogie I went to something along theses lines...
"My drug counselor asked me,'you scuba dive',yes, 'you Bungee Jump?'yes, 'You Hang Glide?'yes, 'You are a commercial pilot?', yes, 'a Jump Pilot, you fly skydivers?' Yes, 'You jump out of planes and sky dive yourself?', yes. Then when the fuck is enough, ENOUGH?
I just kinda sat there...made sense to me...

Drug using. Heck, it can kill you, get you arrested - you can even lose weight! And some chicks dig it.

Skydivers generally devote their lives to skydiving more often than they devote their lives to breaking the law. If that's what you're looking for, perhaps the local jail would yield you people more devoted to "the cause."

>Please don't hate me or try to kill me.

Why? Because that would be breaking the laws of god and man? I thought that's what you _wanted_ us to do.

You've fallen prey to one of the most common misconceptions about extreme sports - that people who stretch the laws of physics and aerodynamics also want to break the laws of our society. And while that's what Hollywood would have you believe, generally that's not the case. Some of the best skydivers in the sport are also some of the nicest, straightest people you'll ever meet. Some others are druggies or criminals, but as heavy drug use and jail time often interfere with skydiving, they are not in the majority.

If you want to jump, be a skydiver. If you want to do drugs, be a drug user. Or do both. But don't make the mistake that one implies the other, or that they really have any connection at all.

So True, playing with wind/air dynamics is a skill and a sport, and whatever someone does afterwards, pray or play....that's a personal choice that does not have to be advertised....

It seems more like you have devoted your life to being the center of attention. If you are doing something totally for yourself you shouldn't feel the need to advertise it so much.

Well, I see very little wrong with smoking pot if it is done responsibly......It is a ancient drug that has been used for thousands of years by every society. In fact, I see no difference between pot and alcohol. Can it be abused-YES-but so can everything else. It should be up to the person who chooses to use it. And too, I have been to Amsterdam, and I see how badly it has affected thier country!;)

Except for the fact that it is illegal.

Well, lets not overstate the obvious here.

I believe that the appropriate smart-ass remark is
"Thank you captin obvious"

but really... why is it such a debate... if it doesnt affect our or our families' saftey and well-being what the hell does it matter? yes I know that you can trace too many things back to its roots, eg. organized crime, poverty, whatever...

any REAL topic... and REAL interest can be traced back and broken down in to its simplest components, and it always comes back to who is it really hurting? hell, we could debate a goat on the back of a guy riding a bicycle and end up with the same common denominator. no really it happened here.

but maybe im just talking out of my arse! cheers!

so....yeah...pot...

Think of it this way. Pot is a recreational vehicle. You don't drive it around all the time, 24/7, do you?

Puts things in perspective.

And, I have to agree with others, if you announce that you partake in illegal activities, don't don't DON'T give your dz the bad rap.[:/]

You guys are killing me.

I said I DO IT AT HOME

God in heaven. Give me a break. I never heard of Spaceland. I'm a surfer, but I would like to make a tandem jump some day.
