ok earlier i was ranting about how people want pitty for all of the "new afflictions"
heres what i'm looking for. give the clinical name for a current "affliction" and tell us what it really is.
here are mine:
obesity = someone who needs to put the twinkies down
obsessive cumpulsive disorder = a really neat and orderly person
attention deficit disorder = someone who needs to learn how to pay attention more (cause of disorder...too much T.V.)

Wow, you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm glad you're mentally healthy, but some of the things you're mocking really do exist and make life hell for the afflicted.

Here's a brief definition of OCD from mentalhealth.net:

It's not exactly about being a "neat and orderly" person. It's a mental illness and it SUCKS.

ADD may be overdiagnosed, but it's a very complex question. The disorder is definitely real, and it's cause is definitely not too much TV.

thats just it its all overdiagnosed. everybody in the united states has some kind of special problem some kind of "disorder" to make them feel special. look as some of the most famous people in history. Mozart was deaf, but composed the greatest music in the world. but if he was an American today he would probably be sitting on some corner pan handling or on some talk show about how his parents forced him to play the piano which made him go deaf. and you wonder why we are being attacked my the Muslims...(oh watch out now I'm bashing someones religion) you know what you flamming on me is just the point i wanted to make GET OVER IT THE PROBLEM IS CALLED LIFE. YOU WANT TO FEEL SPECIAL GO AND DO SOMETHING SPECIAL. if not then join the team and help the rest of us come on in for the big win cuz I'm not going to feel sorry for you im going to treat you like i treat everyone else

I agree to the music, some of the best all time, with Led Zep, Jimmi Hendrix, the Cure, Muse and Radiohead...
Not agree on : was deaf... Beethoven was deaf though, and also recorded a few nice albums
