skydiverbrian 0 #5 August 4, 2003 Crystal blue skies with big poofy clouds. Small planes passing. The quiet of the early morning just after sunrise. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal

champu 1 #9 August 4, 2003 I'm a EE but I work with a bunch of Mechanical Engineers so every time I overhear the words "pin", "container", "door" etc. I start thinking about it, which is quite often. it really doesn't take much, I mean... nothing really prompted me to come to dz.com just now
mouth 0 #10 August 4, 2003 Since I broke my arm on July 2 EVERYTHING and EVERYONE reminds me of jumping. JeffD 0 #12 August 4, 2003 How about the quote that the average male thinks about sex every 30seconds. I think it would be every skydiver thinks of skydiving every second.
EricaH 0 #13 August 4, 2003 QuoteQuoteHow about the quote that the average male thinks about sex every 30seconds. I think it would be every skydiver thinks of skydiving every second. I'd have to agree... I only think of skydiving on days that end in 'y', when I'm awake or when I'm sleeping - blech, stupid country song... now that's stuck in my head. It's always on my mind, but certain things make me feel sick for not being @ the dz. A number of them were listed above. The other day a car stoped to let me cross the street - I thougth 'I should thank him' how would I do that? Why, of course by flashing him. Well luckly reason kicked in & I realized I was downtown in a suburb west of chicago (read CONSERVATIVE)... the poor driver went unthanked other whan a waive. Had to leave WFFC to work today & tomorrow, but I think I feel a 'cold' coming on & will not allow me to work tomorrow - YAHOO!! There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)

jerry81 10 #15 August 4, 2003 -clouds -no clouds -flags -anything that smells remotely like airplane fuel -the "Skydiver on board" sign on my car -anything that smells remotely like the rotten insides of our airplane -any kind of aircraft -anything high enough to jump from -driving fast with the top down -boring classes (I invariably start thinking that I should at least be wearing a "I'd rather be skydiving" T-shirt) ...are just some of the things that remind me of skydiving. Generally speaking, I'd say I think of it every 30 minutes on a 'normal' day, and about every waking moment on mondays and tuesdays after good weekends. Amazon 7 #20 August 5, 2003 QuoteWhen someone let's go a rank one in the elevator on the way to my office. That is a good reason to put one of the little spray bottles of car freshener in the little pocket on your jumpsuit. We have a frequent offender who has forced this option on me.... so now I carry a little bottle of Pina Colada scent that I can spray at a moments notice for a more pleasant ride to altitude. Brokeneagle 0 #21 August 5, 2003 I'd have to say EVERYTHING reminds me of skydiving- every time I go outside and see the sky, hear a plane, driving city streets (people don't track worth a damn in those cars), cooking dinner, (Sat.evening cookouts), watering the plants (dadgum pissing industrial haze)... well, you all understand what I mean!
