Kris 0 #30 July 23, 2003 Quoteblahr, It makes me so proud that you brought up the micky dee's incident.. here's my quote everytime we talk of stupid lawsuit for stupider( i know its not a word) people ...then you got that lady who odered coffee and sued b/c it was hot. the LABIA IS NOT A GOOD WAY TO TEST THE TEMPERATURE! ( if you saw how animated I am when I talk of this subject , youd piss all over your self....and probly sue me for it) dont get me started on the fat ppl sueing the fast food chains I hate all of the stupid lawsuits that have appeared over the years as well, but the McDonald's coffee incident was a justified case, in my opinion. The coffee wasn't just hot, it was 180-degrees for fuck's sake. That's just under boiling. She required several surgeries and skin grafts and will never be the same. Her family only wanted compensation to cover her medical costs, that's it. McDonald's refused so they had to take them to court. The judge, after hearing all the facts, including McDonald's unwillingness to rectify the situation, opened up the doors by allowing them to go for increased damages which their lawyers jumped on. So, if you're talking about a crook who broke a nail breaking into a house and got a $50,000 settlement, then I think he should be drug behind my car. But the poor elderly lady who had permanent damage and who was then told to piss off by a huge company? I just wish she would have gotten more.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
