spencer 0 #10 December 3, 2011 Its very hard to get a suit to fit perfect the first time, the owner of Sonic visited a DZ that I worked at, and most of the suits had to be sent back to be altered, but the build quality was first class. Last for yrs
spencer 0 #11 December 3, 2011 Matter closed down, both matter and sonic at the same DZ, why did matter fold, and does anyone know if Sonic are still going strong.
axelandr 0 #12 December 3, 2011 I'm just guessing and putting some thoughts out there, but from my experience it MIGHT have something to do with: 1. Matter offered a so-so product, were not (very) cheap compared to what you got, and had the shittiest customer service ever. at least in the last couple of years. as a newbie, I personally dealt with them and they were brilliant till the moment they got my cash, from there on out it was ZERO. 2. Sonic offers a high-end suit (the V.2), which although expensive, offers almost everything a freeflyer would want. Their lead time isn't all that bad and the product is great. customer service is also said to be very good. that being said, I went for a boogieman over the Sonic, but a lot of my friends have the V.2 and really really like it.. as for matter vs sonic, I think (and hope) this might prove that high quality products and the way you treat your customers eventually pays back in the end and either keeps you in business or takes you out.. operating out of the same DZ doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it as I guess most of their sales are online shoppers anyway.. adagen 0 #13 December 4, 2011 Got 2 boogieman suits and one Vertical. Been using the Vertical for the last few months and just reverted to the Boogieman suits, because the Vertical is so fitted that I can't fight my way out of it because of a recent shoulder injury. Like both makes. Boogieman has more style and is more robust for tunnel use - both my suits are polycotton with cordura knees and backside. The more cordura you have, the sweatier the suit. At this time of year Boogieman may have a longer lead time for delivery.Anne
virgin-burner 1 #14 December 4, 2011 i've had sonics basic suit for four years, and it still looks good. then i've ordered a v2.0, whcih got lost in the mail. a new suit was delivered to me in an OUTSTANDING 5 DAYS delivery, no questions asked.. i think sonic has a GREAT customer-support, and it's hard to beat that quick of a (2nd) delivery. boogiemen might be awesome too, but i really love sonic! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S. My experience with Sonic's customer support is totally different than yours. I'm not going to tell my story here, but lets just say that I'm not going to order anything from them anymore. And the thread is about Boogieman.
