bdev 0 #5 July 18, 2003 I managed to get 24 in a week...all aff levels, all consols plus a few more...nice bunch of people, superb week! Most feared moment was having to ride back down in the plane when the 50 jump limit was called at 10,000 feet on my AFF 6 ! - It's less scary to jump!--- One life...Use it. lazyfrog 0 #9 July 18, 2003 question : what do you think of reinier as an instructor ???---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT
bdev 0 #10 July 18, 2003 Personally I thought he was awesome, explained lots and answered everything I could throw at him (i read on here that there's no such thing as a dumb question when you're learning!) I'd certainly recommend him to anyone, but then all the instructors seemed pretty cool. I suppose it's difficult to say when I've nothing to compare it to... Why ?--- One life...Use it. lazyfrog 0 #11 July 18, 2003 YEAAAH... I had him as instructor for the canopy course and liked the way he had to teach... but heard other opinions from AFF students... and that's correct, no stupid questions, just stupid answers...---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT
bdev 0 #12 July 18, 2003 Ahh, cool...what was the canopy course like ? Just realised, you probably saw my last jump - reserve ride on the Sunday (6th) morning!--- One life...Use it.

bdev 0 #14 July 18, 2003 What sort of stuff do you do on the canopy course ? - do you have to have a certain number of jumps before you can do it ? - How many jumps does it take ? Damn...all these questions ! --- One life...Use it.
lazyfrog 0 #15 July 18, 2003 there is a 3 day and a 4 day course (10 and 14 jumps at 6000 feet), plus theory in classroom, video debriefing with 2 cameras... you learn how a canpoy flies, how to fly with risers (front and back), how to have nice openings... and how to land efficiently. I learnt how to land with a good speed (arriving on front risers, doing front riser turns...) and do a nice flare... seen people from 40 to 8000 jumps follow the course... better to do the course when you have some kind of intermediate canopy---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT
