what bands do you want to see at the Rob Harris Boogie?

Recommended Posts

I'm working with a promoter to bring in National/International performers. We're going to open the dz up to the concertgoing public for a Saturday night concert series at the event.

Who do you want to see?

No arena acts, we won't be able to afford them. And the promoters wouldn't back anything outlandish.

Buck O' Nine/ Reel Big Fish we could probaly do

Dave Mathews Band/ Metalica we could not do...

Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. Guaranteed reaction- Dave Sonsky

Dude, you get Reel Big Fish in there and I'm gonna have to plan a road trip out there! ;)

Yeah, it's fine, we'll walk down the line. Leave our rain, a cold trade for warm sunshine
You my friend, I will defend... and if we change, well, I love you anyway

o.k. when i did the research on this I knew that it would be a ridiculous amount of money, I just didn't know how ridiculous. Now I do. This was done only out of curiousty. Ready? Here goes......

Dear Kyle,

The current quote (subject to change) for the Beastie Boys for such a function is only ---
$350,000-500,000 plus local production (sound, lighting, staging, etc.), travel & lodging, etc.

We do appreciate your business and will work with you to make this happen.

THE NEXT STEP to take ---

A. Is this quote within your budget and are you ready to proceed in the hiring process? If yes, ---

Reply to this e-mail by saying, "I am ready to proceed to the next step: I want to make a formal offer. Please send me your FIRM OFFER FORM."

B. Does this quote exceed your budget significantly? If yes, ---
We should be able to provide you with alternative suggestions that might be more affordable. What price range would be acceptable to you? Let us know -- we want to help!

Reply to this e-mail by saying, "I am interested in suggestions for alternative entertainment. My comfortable budget range for talent is ________." (Please use a budget figure for talent only -- having a separate budget figure to cover production, travel and lodging requirements.)

Again, we do want your business and look forward to working with you!!!

Thank you for your interest.
