I wish I could say strawberries, but I've only had one like that in my life.

I'd have to say Chicken, since it tastes like everything and nothing at the same time!

So Jilly, meet me at Rantoul, and I'll judge for sure. B|

This may be hard for Normal People (you, me, and maybe three others) to understand, but some people just don't ever get into it. I see those 4-5 jump student just standing around, not really caring if they get to go up or not. In a sport like ours, those who don't push on diligantly in the beginning get washed out in about 5 or 6 skydives.

I think DZ politics might have something to do with it too.

If I had not realized this early on, the frusterations caused thereof may have put an end to my involvement in the sport. Distance yourself from it early on, jump for fun and for life...... Not for ANYBODY else:|

DZ politics are a great way to drive people away and if they don't have another DZ to go to, it's hard to stay in the situation.

I agree. I did 11 jumps in 98 (motorcycle accident ended my season), and 2 currency jumps in 99. DZ politics are what kept me away from the sport between 99 and 01, which is when I found a new DZ, 3-4 sates away from home, to finish training at.

its interesting, considering the investment etc...

Maybe it's just the maturing crowd with short attention span. Seen it in diving industry over a period of 35 years +.

Personally quitting the diving now because of this seen it all feeling and hoping, that with a bit of luck the next change will be after an other 35 years.
