VanillaSkyGirl 6 #31 July 8, 2003 Cora, I'm so sorry about your job. ((((((((((((VIBES)))))))))))))) Where are you going to be jumping when you come out to CA? Do you know where you'd like to live or will it be determined by your work situation? Although I am sad for you, I am also happy for you as you will be making a move out west. I think that you will love it here. You seem to be the type of person who could succeed anywhere. I predict that you will excel at whatever you choose to do. Also...I am so excited that I will be able to meet you soon!
 TheAnvil 0 #32 July 8, 2003 Dammit! At least you knew it was coming - sort of.
 ladyskydiver 0 #33 July 8, 2003 Thanks! I've been expecting it since January so it's actually nice to know when my last day is. I will be jumping at Elsinore and stopping over every once in awhile to jump at Perris. I have absolutely no clue where I'll be living when I move. Ideally, it would be close to where I'm going to be working, but if I don't have a job prior to moving out there, who knows? I know that Michele's going to be getting company beginning to mid-August as she's going to help me find a place to live. I've now been in California 4 times. Once before I became a skydiver and was in San Francisco, Berkley and Napa Valley - I hated it! The other 3 times have been twice to Elsinore, Burbank, LA (loved it) and once to Davis (loved it). I'm pretty sure I'll love being in CA, and I already adore a great group of people that happen to reside in CA. QuoteYou seem to be the type of person who could succeed anywhere. I predict that you will excel at whatever you choose to do. Thanks! I appreciate it! I'm actually applying for jobs that I never would have thought of before losing this one. Kind of a "Well...I'm moving states, etc....why not try something new?" I'm looking forward to meeting you as well. We'll definitely get a jump (or two or...) in and do coffee/lunch/whatever.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. After a totally awesome weekend, I come in to the office straight from the airport on Tuesday, and what do I get? A 60 day notice from my boss stating that my last day here at work is Sep. 2nd. So, I give him a hug and walk out the door. I'd had 45 minutes of sleep up until then and said that since I no longer have a job, I'm going home and taking a nap. Since my mom just moved here to Wisconsin this past weekend, I got a hold of her and went to dinner with her and told her in person that I got my 60 day notice and that I'm moving. Thank God we were in a restaurant as she wouldn't cry then. I'm going to start packing and going through my stuff and getting rid of things I don't use/need. And will be moving the last weekend in August. So, SoCal peeps...keep an eye out...I'll see you all soon. Good luck man, get the hell out of dodge.
