How is October (weather) for camping at Lake Wales. I'm deciding if I will go to see all my friends compete but I don't want to pay $59 a night (special skydiver's discount?! Try the Casino Hotel at Elsinore - $20 per night!)

So if camping is possible, are there facilities for cook outs and stuff? Should I picture something like Eloy during a big boogie?

Sorry to sound so ignorant but ... I guess I am! I've really only been to two boogies away from home.

Anyone want to tell me all about their camping experiences there?

Not sure when you are considering going, but I have a 5 bedroom house in Orlando for the week of 10/26-11/2. Free room --- cheap is neat, free is for me!!!!

It's not too far from Tampa eithier. As far as camping, the times that I have been there tents were always up right near the Hanger. However, I imagine this will change for nationals. I suspect they will have to bring in some trailers for team rooms. Seriously, the best bet might be to buddy up on a hotel room with friends. Kissimmie and Orlando have a bunch of Hotels, along the tourist strips that might cost less. However, those are about 45 minutes away.
